The Main Market Square

The Wroclawian Market Square is the best entertainment of this city and the heart of a pedestrian zone. All tourist should go there and see this picturesque and full of magic place.  Sensible and international atmosphere is typical on the Market. This place is always pounding with energy, full people, and curious events. The famous and modern fountain was built with glass panels recently and is located in the western part of the Square.
Wroclaw market has been planned in 1230 year. The oldest part of the town hall is a long time the judicial panel. The main part of the market is Salt Square, once a secondary market, the salt trade, now transformed to a place of trade.
Buildings surrounded the Market come from different historical periods. Each property has a traditional name, usually associated with the coat of arms visible on the facade or related to the history of the house itself, for instance Under the Griffins, Under the Blue Sun and Old Town Hall. The Town Hall owns rich summit from eastern part, and a medieval sun-dial under it.
Market clubs and restaurants, which are particularly evident in the summer are a highlight of the Market for which the most of tourist are glad. Horse cabs also have a reputation. Almost always several of them are available. It is possible to hire them and to see Wroclaw in original manner. This is one of the largest markets and the Old Town in Europe.
